Saints Row: The Third, Steelport şehrinde geçen ilk Saints Row oyunudur. İlk iki oyunda olduğu gibi hikaye, Azizlerin üç rakip çeteyi yok edip bünyesine katması ve bu süreçte şehri ele geçirmesi etrafında dönüyor. Saints Row: The Third'de bu üç çete Morningstar, Luchadores ve Deckers'tır. İlk iki oyundan farklı olarak bu üç çetenin tamamı, azizlerin de uğraşması gereken The Syndicate adlı bir suç örgütü tarafından kontrol ediliyor.
